there lived a tiger who was always hungry.
One day, it made its way down to a small house
where two siblings lived together.
The moment they saw the tiger,
they climbed up a tree in fear
and pleaded with the sky.
“Please, save us!”
A rope dropped down from the heavens,
and the siblings were lifted up into the sky.
The tiger remained below,
watching the rope disappear in silence.
But the truth was this.
The tiger had never really been hungry.
It just wanted to be with them.
It wasn’t food it was looking for.
It was connection.

배고픈 호랑이가 살았어.
어느 날, 호랑이는 산 아래 작은 집으로 내려왔지.
그 집엔 정다운 오누이가 살고 있었어.
호랑이를 본 오누이는
너무 무서워서 뒷뜰 나무 위로 올라가 하늘에 빌었어.
“하늘님, 살려주세요!”
하늘에서 동아줄이 내려오고,
오누이는 하늘 위로 올라갔어.
호랑이는 그 자리에서
멀어지는 동아줄을 슬프게 바라봤어.
근데, 있잖아.
그 호랑이, 사실 배가 고픈 게 아니었어.
오누이랑 그냥 같이 놀고 싶었던 거야.
